Anxiety Therapy
Practical tools for worry, fear and the physical tension of anxiety, using approaches such as CBT, so you can feel calmer and more in control.
What we can work on together
- Understanding what your anxiety is responding to, and what keeps it going
- Calming the body's alarm response with breathing and grounding skills
- Noticing and questioning anxious thoughts with cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
- Gradually facing situations you have been avoiding, at a pace you agree to
- Working on worry, sleep and the physical tension that comes with anxiety
- A plan for setbacks, so progress lasts
If anxiety comes with chest pain, breathlessness or other physical symptoms for the first time, please see a doctor as well, to rule out a medical cause.
How sessions work
Sessions last 60 minutes, and the first 20 minutes are free, so you can see whether working together feels right before committing to anything. You can come in person to MIND CARE in New Eskaton, Dhaka, or meet online by Zoom or Google Meet from anywhere in Bangladesh.
Everything you share is kept strictly confidential. The first conversation is about understanding what is happening for you and what you would like to change; together we then decide on a plan that fits.
For more structured support, this is also offered as the Anxiety & Panic Program (8 weekly sessions, in person or online).
